Aug 9 Day 10
We leave Prince Ruper, and Canada behind and board our Ferry
the Matanuska (had to wait for 3 hrs to board, big containers first) Back to our own money and English again, we are home. I ask the ferry Master when the
Captain’s Ball was, he said only if he retires and don’t expect a mint on your
pillow either. We will spend
1 night on this vessel and then debark at Juneau. We spent 190 dollars to stay in this cabin for 2 days, it is clean and
it looks like the US army made the beds.
Also the ship has 4 floors total so not hard to find the food or our room, our RV is in the bottom of the ship. The food is excellent and everyone is very friendly. We
landed in Ketchikan in the evening and got to see Creek Street, very
interesting but we arrived at night and everything is closed. Photos from boarding and on the boat.
