After a terrible nights sleep we get up at 6 AM and eat and get on our way, we don't want to miss the train and we both were worried, even though we set an alarm we didn't want to be late.
Well we boarded the train and it was great fun. It's kind of strange but even though it rains all night and is gloomy all day whenever we plan a tour it stops raining for the duration of the tour. After the narrow gauge train chugged up the mountain we decided to have a snack at the Red Onion Salon. It was a brothel from 1890 to 92. I guess it was short lived but the girls made a lot of money fast. Diamond Lil was the head Madame and she was 6 ft tall and really wore lots of diamonds. She was smart lady but she made one mistake, she fell in love, she lost everything and they found her on her knees washing floors and when someone recognized her she told them at least she's on her knees making an honest living. One thing I have to say about Canada, we leave the US and all of a sudden the sun comes out and the mountains are beautiful. Part of it could be we are going inland.
