We arrive at the Alexandria Shooting Park without a
rifle, but $20 bucks a night with full hook-up, what’s not to like. It’s a big prairie with clay
targets. We arrive at 7pm and no
paperwork so we call the number and Katie says pick wherever you want to hook-up
and drop the money in the drop box when you leave. Again I say, what’s not to like.
Besides seeing Alaska our journey is about meeting
people and
our first couple is from Idaho; Al and Shirley, (yes, same names as our neighbors at home) this retired Air Force couple had a big Harley and a very unique 5th
wheel. They set up camp to stay
awhile and shoot (2 big rifles) It was great fun talking to them. The RV worked great, we exchanged emails and were on our way. Hope they make it to Chicago someday.
