This area is a logging economy and also the Dutch settled here many years ago. We ran into an old Dutch gent that spent his whole life in this area and I know why, because it resembles the Alpes. The mountains surround the city and it really does look European.
Tomorrow we board the ferry in the morning and will spend a night onboard, making all the ferry stops and arriving in Juneau the day after tomorrow. We stay in Juneau for 3 nights.
Dom got his McDonald ice cream and was very happy with the taste and price.
