Juneau -- Mendenhall Glacier--St Therese

Aug 11 day 12
Again in Juneau the weather has not been perfect.  Rain all night and overcast all day.  We decide not to take a wildlife tour because visibility is poor and it involves an 8 hr boat tour.  Mendenhall Glacier is a must so it turns out to be overcast but visible.  One guy decided to take his clothes off and try the icy water.  After the glacier we stop at The Shrine of St. Therese, this shrine was built in the late 1930s and it has a beautiful walk with marble stations of the cross.  My camera was dead so Dom took some photos that remind us of how truly blessed we are.  The Brown door signafies the opening and entering of the person who wants to be Baptized.  Bought a scapular for Ava and myself.  Have not seen one of those in years.
